Synel is known in the industry for its HARMONY
system. So why did you name your system
"HARMONY", or what is the very
concept behind the word? How does synel
achieve its expected HARMONY?
¡¡¡¡Mr.
Ady Shani: The word "Harmony"
in Greece means "join things together",
so we decide that all the departments in
an organization which are dealing with human
resource and employee's activities should
work in harmony with each other and be joint
together. For a long time we searched the
means to achieve this solution. We decide
that the word "Harmony" is the
best name that can express what we really
want to give organizations through this
solution..
¡¡¡¡Once again "to
join together", because as you know,
the situation is that in an organization
they have a many systems. You have systems
for finance and you have systems for human
resource, systems for attendance and systems
for access control. But usually these systems
cannot integrate with each other. Through
the Harmony solution we can provide the
organization with the capability of using
ONE database for all the different modules,
without having to duplicate systems. All
the various modules can work in Harmony
with each other, in real time.
¡¡¡¡As I mentioned,
today in an organization they use a lot
of systems. We have 2 main focuses: One
is that our systems will reach all levels
in the organization, and the other - that
the system should be used as a management
tool that can maximize the use of the human
resource .So it does not only provides you
with information, but also acts as a management
tool upon which you can check efficiency,
and which will help you to better manage
the organization in an enterprise.

role do you think your Harmony system plays
in HR management? How will HRs benefit from
Harmony? Could you give us some typical
examples of its practical use?
¡¡¡¡Mr.
Ady Shani: In today's business environment,
all departments in an organization do their
utmost to increase profitability by cutting
down costs. With this trend, there emerges
the HR finance for example). That is why
we need to make better use of the resources
under the HR department .The intelligent
use of different logical tools by HR people
will streamline their work. They can use
the same tool for their daily management
- such as shifts, attendance, cost control,
access control and so on. Our system will
help organizations to save money by cutting
down the costs of management.

does synel harmonize its own human resource
management?
¡¡¡¡Mr. Ady Shani:
First of all, we use the same system. We
don't see the employees as an asset. We
see our employees as partners. I think that
the system can also bring more confidence
on our employees and organization. It can
give employees more confidence in the ability
of the organization.
¡¡¡¡HRoot:
After going through the introduction of
your company and services, you claim to
adjust your service to meet the clients'
needs whenever necessary, which can be called
the human-oriented service. So would you
please tell us about how you provide your
customers with human-oriented service practically?
¡¡¡¡Mr Ady Shani:
First of all, you should understand the
customer's needs. Each customer has his
own way of thinking. So you have to understand
his needs and the way he thinks. Secondly,
your system should be able to adapt to any
different changes, because you know today
the market is changing very quickly. Synel
has over 40 markets all over the world.
You have to understand that one market is
not like the other .We have markets in U.S.A,
South America, England Germany, Poland etc.
Our customers' demands are different, so
we have to make changes according to different
clients' demands as soon as possible.
¡¡¡¡I could give
you more details about the access control
system. You know, the uniqueness of our
system is the Harmony between all the modules.
We see our access control system is one
system from all the solutions that comes
to serve the employee and the management.
The cooperation between the access control,
time and attendance or the job costing module
is very tight. The system comes to minimize
the faulty reports or mistakes, and the
terminal supplies you the information and
alert. So our system is also a very interactive
system.
¡¡¡¡HRoot£ºIt
is known that Synel is now laying its focuses
on expanding the Chinese market. What efforts
has Synel made to apply this strategy, and
what are your future plan in China?
¡¡¡¡Mr.
Ady Shani: I will describe it in 3 aspects.
1) Synel will expand its business all over
China not limited to some places but in
all different places. This way we will increase
our contacts with different joint ventures.
2) We will increase our promotion in China,
especially in HR management through the
website or magazines. You know, we not only
specialize in access control systems but
also HR management tools. We will provide
HR with full solutions for their management
of employees. 3) We will increase our market
efforts in China by increasing the number
of people being here with us and giving
them more training. We will also increase
our promotion activities by hosting seminars
in the industry and attending exhibitions.

Through my homework of getting to know Synel,
I get to know that you have rich experience
in various fields such as sales, marketing
and so on. So what do you think will be
the most valuable thing that you obtained
from your experience and which will benefit
your current work?
¡¡¡¡Through
my experience, I think it has helped me
knowing a lot of markets and being able
to understand the changes. I have got the
ability to learn quickly and to define what
the requirements are needed. The most important
issue is to define, understand and implement
the customers' needs.
¡¡¡¡I believe everyone
should love what they do. 25 years ago I
tried to be a teacher for one and a half
years. I liked it very much. I enjoy giving
people what I have from my experience and
from my knowledge. The current job confronts
me with challenges but also interests. I
can meet different people from different
cultures by conducting business with different
markets.
